Hey friend,
Today, I’m talking about the #1-holiday gut issue affecting women in perimenopause and menopause and how to curb or prevent a flare-up.
Yep, I’m talking about candida.
I can’t tell you how many women reach out to me every January regarding another yeast infection they’ve tried everything to get rid of…but, like an unwanted family member at Thanksgiving…just keeps coming back!
(🙋🏼♀️Been there; got the t-shirt!)
That’s because the holidays are one of the most sugar- and stress-filled times of the year–and a veritable breeding ground for yeast.
And although candida shows up most commonly in the form of a vaginal yeast infection, its “silent” symptoms can show up in our bodies in a lot of other ways including acid reflux, IBS, arthritis pain, sinus infections and allergies, anxiety, depression, uncontrollable cravings for sugar and refined carbohydrates–and, yes, even fatigue or rapid weight gain.
Join me in Part 2 of my discussion on candida where I’ll unpack:
3 reasons why the holidays can lead to a candida outbreak
The difference between regular sugar cravings and candida-induced sugar cravings
Why candida could be the hidden cause of your fatigue or sudden weight gain
Plus, I’ll share five candida diet tips for keeping yeast at bay this holiday season (including the biggest candida culprits in your kitchen!)
If you want to know which cocktails are safe to ring in the New Year or the two sweeteners that won’t feed your candida when you’re craving sugar, this episode is for you!
