As a straight woman, this story opened my eyes to the fact that queer relationships have absolutely similar dynamics as straight relationships. Self discovery, love of the arts, jealousy , possessiveness, survival, boundaries..and the list goes on. The narrator’s are incredibly talented...Read full review »

This is definitely worth the listen. I have seen many Goldies, I’ve even been her before. This is such a beautifully told story, definitely craving more from this. Great job.

This series is so unique and well done. Please put a trigger warning on episode 5 for sexual assault.

Excellent production values. A whopper of a story told intelligently by writers who understand the premise. The acting feels fresh and new. Spot on soundtrack and tunes. All round BRAVO!

A really well written, mixed/just generally well made story. Captures hurting and healing in toxic relationships tragically well.

I just finished this and found it riveting. Even as a man who doesn’t relate to any of the themes of the story, I really enjoyed.

( from a French listener ). I had to discipline myself to not listen to all the episodes in a row, I wanted to savour them. Thank you for this great story.

There are no podcasts like this one. Shadows was also amazing but asking for it is something unlike anything in existence. Kaitlin is amazing! And her team.

This podcast is beautiful. The writing, the music, the performances, the sound design- it sounds so real and yet is so perfectly crafted. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever heard before... the story is excellently structured, each episode left me wanting more. I can see why others might need time to...Read full review »

I haven’t listened to this podcast but the promo is so grating, using all the buzzwords: “queer femme,” “herstory,” ugh. I am a queer femme and I have no interest listening to a series that sounds like it glorifies violence, not to mention the voice of the promo narrator makes me sick.

Story development was amazing, very realistic even informative to a point. Scary to see how it may resemble the lives of loved ones.

This would have been much better if the sound was consistent. Very frustrating as the characters whisper so much and you can’t hear them even with volume ridiculously high. Disappointing

Usually LOVE CBC podcasts but this was a little over the top. Gave up after 2 episodes. I guess it was just too graphic for me. It made me uncomfortable.

This show is amazing, I feel so seen! One thing - please add note in the show notes of Episode 5 about the rape scene. I understand that this content is supposed to be difficult to hear but I was not braced for that. Besides that, only rainbows about this very serious important content!!

So raw, so vulnerable, such TRUTH. And yet so well-performed, so excellently produced that you feel like the characters are right next to you, whispering in your ear.

I hate to admit it, but I was in an abusive relationship when I was younger too. Its so strange looking back now, and realizing that I I didn’t just recently understand it was a harmful relationship for me now - but I aI knew it then too, but for some reason I fell prey to the same traps. I don’t...Read full review »
