New life into old books
What a delightful podcast! It has had me scouring both my own bookshelves and secondhand bookshops, rediscovering books I already had by, for example, Jane Gardam, B S Johnson, Patrick Hamilton, Derek Raymond and others, and encouraging me to seek out more of their work as well as works by other writers new to me. The background information on each writer is fascinating: who knew Riddle of the Sands author Erskine Childers had such an *extraordinary* life? Not me. I do now, thanks to Backlisted.
