Listened to baby P no compassion or empathy and the added chat and sarcasm is so unnecessary

I love Emma's weekly podcasts. I always look forward to her new ones. Informative, shocking, factual and funny in places. She researches everything so thoroughly.Read full review »

The adverts every few minutes not necessary “Better Help” we got the message and frankly you put me off so never going to use you!

Just listened to the 3rd Jeremy Bamber episode. Absolutely turned me off to the whole show. It’s very unfair for someone who prides themselves on being honest and deep diving pretty much try to brain wash people. The experts just appeared whiney and talked over each other. A real shame as I’d...Read full review »

Good podcasts if you've not read into the real confirmed facts in a lot of the cases. The inaccuracies in the James Bulger one especially are quite astonishing. A bit low to add things that have been confirmed didn't happen just to get ratings. His family have been through enough without...Read full review »

I just stumbled upon this podcast and am now binging the entire catalog. So many True Crime podcasts are amateurish with hosts who cannot even pronounce basic words and engage in inane banter. This pod is exceptionally well researched and delivered. Many of the cases are also new to me which is...Read full review »

Y'all need to stop shaming Emma in the reviews, I know it's your opinions, but she is a professional and she is sound her job as she should. I love the theatrical voices and the "waffling" isn't the problem. Crime has a lot of deep, deep, deep things going on and a lot of...Read full review »

Excellent podcast completely ruined by relentless ads randomly thrown into the middle of a sentence

The presenter is terrible- shoves her own opinions at the audience continually , presents her opinions as facts, presents them as evidence (which they certainly are not). She is overbearing. She tells us what people involved were thinking - which she can not possible know. She interprets their...Read full review »

It’s such a shame because to cases covered are interesting and well researched but the over the top theatrical voices is just too much, far too many personal opinions and you sometimes get lost in the waffle. I wanted to love this but have unfollowed. Has potential but goodness me it can be...Read full review »

Great research and stories but the waffle on about her personal thoughts and feelings are insufferable

Great stories, great insight and investigation. But unfortunately the unnecessary theatrics and sarcasm are off putting and belittling to the stories being told.
eheji via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/09/24
Even though some episodes are very hard to listen to due to the content of the crime, I feel the podcaster does humanise the victim in a fabulous way and delivers the facts with absolute care, I gave this podcast 5 stars because of the work that has gone into each and every episode.

This is one of my new favs. I watched the YouTube channel. But I can’t dedicated a ton of time to watching things. So this is perfect.

Absolutely love listening to this podcast. Emma puts so much work into the research and it shows. In depth, and engaging episodes. Love it! 🖤

Emma’s research, psychological insight and analysis of cases is generally excellent, and the reason I still listen this podcast pretty regularly. However, the tangents into wishing vigilante justice on perpetrators often feels quite off putting and out-of-keeping with the engaging, analytical...Read full review »

Have to say I’ve struggled to take the presenter seriously after all the nonsense she came out with during and after the pandemic. I’d say she has very little credibility and wouldn’t trust what she says.

I really like Emma’s podcast, the cases are covered well and empathetically to the victims and their families. I’m currently catching up having only started listening in November. I enjoyed this at the start but the over the top personal opinion, fake scenarios, bad accents, and talk of religion is spoiling it. Struggling to take Emma seriously as a professional when she comes across extremely judgmental and arrogant.

I love listening to podcasts but often get bored of listening to dry facts by a dry narrator, however, I find a very warm person in Emma, she is obviously very knowledgeable but doesn’t shove that down your throat. She is very invested in the subject matter and brings the stories and characters...Read full review »

Think this could be a good podcast. Unfortunately the overly wordy delivery (take a breath!) and pointless asides and self opinions is quite off putting. I will keep trying to see if it improves, but unless Emma just sticks to the facts I’m not sure it’ll be for me

I’ve been searching for AGES for a decent uk voiced true crime podcast to listen to whilst I go about household stuff or work out at the gym. Most of them are a bit gimmicky - I don’t necessarily want to know ‘fun facts’ about the location of a crime, and some people really do not have the...Read full review »

Good facts and analyses well told. Infact, she's a wonderful story teller, entertaining and personable if a bit blood thirsty. The ads, however, are horrendous. Over the top and very theatrical in her commentary. Very off putting. Puts too much of her feelings and narrative into the story and the victims. Embellishes the story too much. Should stick to actual facts and not padding the stories out with unnecessary info.

I listened to my first episode on Kaitlyn Conley, While I appreciate a thought provoking true crime story, it shouldn’t come at the expense of false information. Emma, you’ve gone over the top now with your commentary. Stick to the facts and your explanations of the psychology. You’ve become prone to rambling and hyperbole. Also, get some voice training and stop the vocal fry before you damage your vocal chords.

Very interesting however it’s a podcast you really need to focus on as it’s very psychology based and opinion based rather than just the facts of the story. I really need to be in the zone to get through a whole episode. There are some great cases I haven’t heard of before.

Love the podcast and Emmas way of telling these stories. I would love some heads up in the episodes where child abuse is described in detail.
