“I have followed this podcast for a few years now and I bailed a few weeks after Peter took over. After enjoying the Alan Swartz era, switching to Peter was a brutal. I really enjoy Peter as an analyst, but a podcast host he is not. ESPN has finally read all the reviews and while they didnt bring Alan back they certainly brought change! The show is as good as the Alan era, if not better. Eric Krabel is now the host with Peter serving as the primary analyst. Eric is engaging, witty and at times he drops a fantasy line or two, but most importantly he brings the best out of Peter. He is the perfect balance to Peter’s cynical view on most players/teams, but they converse well and even have light spirited debate at times. Peter really shines now that he is not both the host and the analyst. He is a great analyst, with great knowledge of the game. Peter is still dry and cynical, but as an analyst it works.
The first five minutes are dedicated to the night before games and the last 5 or so are dedicated to that night’s games. With the middle being taken up by current baseball story lines such as what is wrong with that team or why this player is doing so well. Im not sure that it will get back the numbers it had in its heyday, but with this last round of changes, I think you will agree with me and come back to Baseball Today.”Read full review »

BUT, this podcast is very hard to listen to because the sound quality is horrible. It sounds...”Read full review »

“I liked it when it was just Peter talking. Eric Carabell is a smarta** and thinks everything he says is correct and hilarious. Neither are true. If you don't like someone criticizing every player or team this isn't for you. If you like a sports writer with a chip on his shoulder then by...”Read full review »
