I loved every bit of your podcast. Mostly because I was able to relate to it in many different ways. My journey from Pakistan to Texas has gone through many different phases and I’ve never thought about things as optimistically as you do so thank you for your inspiration!

As a teacher of ENL students, this perspective is much needed. The adolescent immigrant experience is one that needs to be shared more often. Thank you for sharing!

With tons of vulnerability and honesty, the stories Misha shares are well told, interesting, and relatable. Can't wait to hear more! Also, excellent musical selections.

The premise is pretty simple and as a kid who grew up with immigrant parents, I already related on some level. But Misha gets to a place that really hits a cord. Such an intimate and delightful trip 💕 already looking forward to the next episode!

One episode and you'll fall in love with Misha's honesty. We can all relate to that feeling of needing to belong. Misha captures it, and conquers it, in the most heartwarming way.

This is literally the most boring, anticlimactic podcast I've ever heard. I think it's an attempt to be a unique experience as an immigrant but it's just like the most obvious narration. Like "wow learning about nirvana and other music groups we've never heard of because we're new here" there is...Read full review »

Misha shares her experiences as an immigrant growing up in the US with candor. She is enthusiastic and easy to listen to. The issues and themes that she addresses are thought-provoking. Also, the podcast is well produced.

The best thing about Beginner is Misha's ability to weave together a relatable story (at least for me... I had to start from scratch in this country too) with ever insightful reflections about its meaning and impact on her life. Misha seeks that meaning out episode by episode, with authentic,...Read full review »

Refreshing change in the world of otherwise mostly boring podcasts. Very reassuring personal story about confronting fears and apprehensions of fitting in. I was comforted by the thought that one could be a beginner at something at any stage in their life, and that it's totally fine to be one....Read full review »

Beginner is a truly unique podcast that uses personal narrative to open up loads of important questions about immigration, culture, adaptation and belonging. The spirit of adventure and curiosity makes me want to try new things too!

Moved by the sincerity and candor of Beginner. Misha’s narrative is one that is unique, and elicits the beauty in simplicity. As a first generation immigrant, the first episode already resonates personally to my own struggle as a child growing up in America. I particularly loved the first...Read full review »

Such a good, funny and moving production! A podcast easy to relate to when facing the struggles of being an immigrant. Begginer captures and shares feelings not always easy to understand and cope with in a wonderful way.

An excellent first epidose and great trailer! The podcast is well produced, and the story is one that simultaneously echoes the experience of many, while still being unique to Misha. Love it and can't wait for more episodes.

Misha’s combination of charm and introspection subtly transforms her experience of coming to the US at age 11 into a universally relatable story of fitting into a new community and trying new things. She’s the perfect voice to tell this tale and I can’t wait for episode 2 (and many more)!

I think that the concept for Beginner is intimate, unique, and personal. Something I have a difficult time finding these days in podcast land. The first episode made me think about what privileges and normal skills I've taken for granted. Excited to get a glimpse into Misha's journey.

An honest peak into a personal world. Can't wait for more. :) I love the lens for this story. It takes something very personal and uses it in a way to encompass a wide variety of topics. It got me thinking and has stuck with me a few days after listening. I'm excited to see where it goes next :)

Misha's honesty and candor in the first episode is refreshing, pleasant, real and raw. I'm looking forward to going on this adventure with her, rooting for her when she falls down, laughing when she goofs up, and smiling at all of her accomplishments.

Even with only an episdoe and a trailer out, this podcast has so much potential. Misha is takes her own Pakistani-American story and uses it as a platform to talk about something we all need to be talking about more: identity and what it means to belong. And even though the podcast doesn't touch...Read full review »
