“Being very into true crime stories and analysis I have tried to listen to RCP and this, but I cannot continue to listen to Jim Clemente. His arrogant, condescending personality is unbearable. Every story he tells involves some angle of how he was right and someone else was wrong. And rather than put forth his opinions as opinions he asserts them as 100% unquestionable fact.
Big turn off in only the second episode of this podcast where he speaks as if he was the investigator, prosecutor, judge and jury of the Amadou Diallo case. Jim insists he's got the whole thing figured out and the officers were 100% not guilty of murdering an innocent unarmed man. All while completely brushing over the fact that the first officer to approach Diallo (and then clumsily trip off the curb all by himself) yelled out "GUN!" without ever actually seeing a gun and it was this careless mistake that caused these officers to recklessly fire 41 bullets towards a residential building, with 19 hitting their intended target - killing an innocent man who had not actually posed a threat to the officers or anyone else.
Allowing officers to state, without cause, that they simply feared for their life as a justification for killing someone is unjust. It does not make them innocent, only legally protected to carry out such acts again and again without consequence. It makes our communities and our country less safe, for both police officers and citizens to allow reckless behavior like this to continue.”Read full review »

Was hoping to hear some actual details in the case, maybe interviews with the police detectives or audio from the courtroom. Nope. Just this Francie person saying over and over how the case affected her. And then Jim saying how awesome that...”Read full review »

“Two former prosecutors invite colleagues on to go behind the scenes on the most sensational cases of their careers - what's not to love!?
Excellent premise, sets the right tone (victim advocacy-wise), and doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles because the stories are enough on their own!”Read full review »

“We really enjoyed this podcast so far and are interested by the insider views on situations we often hear about (but don't totally understand). The only problem we had was the volume control. I've never had to mess with the volume control so often! The disparity between the female and...”Read full review »
