Old bloke bumbling about Europe
Absolute amateur hour, the retired detective is absolutely blinded by his own biased narrative, it’s obviously working as he has a podcast and book etc and is milking it for every penny. He completely discounts the pretty credible underworld rumours of his death whilst simultaneously giving them far too much credit if he thinks that there is some vast underworld conspiracy to hide what is essentially a large,unhinged bully. It’s literal larping and is quite embarrassing to listen to

What a wasted opportunity!...poorly presented,lacking in pace and utterly fails to build up any suspense,each short episode repeats dialogue to the point where it just blurs into what seems like the last episode you listened to,endless replays of the suspects recorded call to the emergency line...Read full review »

Short episodes with too much filler/repetition equates to an average listen. I love the BBC but I feel like they missed an opportunity here.
