Worth a listen
I binged this series - found it captivating enough to begin a new episode as often as possible. The background on Guatemalan adoption up until 2007 was fascinating…and heartbreaking. There were times when the mom came across as pretentious and privileged. Despite all the live recordings, I don’t remember a single time the mom asked for consent, from meeting Isabel the first time to recording the ups and downs of her family and Isabel’s. Just didn’t sit right with me….
