Just awful
I don’t think I’ve actually ever heard women being this patronising about and towards other women before. According to Cath and Dr Sue women are anxious and worried all the time, make bad choices and their bodies ‘don’t quite know what they’re doing’. What a load of BS. I’ve never met the women they’re talking about and perhaps if they were to start from a point of women are smart and capable and very able to understand things they wouldn’t talk like this. I won’t be listening to any more, nor recommending that my (smart and capable) female friends listen either. We don’t need to be done to or patronised in pregnancy and motherhood, but guided and shown common sense. Some science would help too, but there’s very little of that raised, discussed or explained here - perhaps because it would just be too confusing for the fictional women in their audience.

So judgemental. There’s lots of different ways to do things and these ladies try to make you feel bad about not doing it their way. Go listen to Australian birth stories if you want different perspectives.
