Clear, Obvious and To the Point...
This is the first podcast I have ever listened to, I have not followed the case, but decided to listen to this to become informed, because I like so many NZ'rs, I want to know what really happened. My conclusion is the same as the author's. After hearing about the family history and learning about the individual personalities of the family members, I can understand how dysfunctional, despairing and difficult it would have been to live in this particular family dynamic and the huge disappointment the family unit would have become tosome members of this family. I can understand how it happened and have put myself in their shoes and can say I now know in my heart what really happened on so many levels. Thank you for putting this together, for the general public. There does remain one comment by one family member that was not referred to again and that is the admission of the killing in Episode 4, ten and a half minutes into the podcast. This to me is a sane and obvious admission of guilt. I also do not wish anyone to go back into jail as there has been enough suffering but the justice system, gets too tied up with little bits of evidence and then loses it's way and cannot see the forest for the trees. It is so obvious what happened, how and why. A sad case of one person, tipped over the edge, realizing his family is not perfect, compounded by religious morals and sins, leading to the decision that everyone would be better off not in this world anymore. End of Story.Read full review »

Mystery, suspense, those NZ accents, a compelling story not previously known to me, and audio of courtroom testimonies (but not too much), make for a well...Read full review »
