“I think y'alls show is the absolute bizness. Discovered it when I was looking for a discussion about Medicine for Melancholy. One of my favorite movies. Sadly, not one of y'alls (HATERS). Regardless of y'alls opinion on that movie, your lively and thoughtful discussion of it had me dying. Intelligent. insightful. And the perfect amount of "hood." My holy trinity. From there... I've tried to keep up with all of y'alls postings and each time I am so greatly entertained. Even when you guys drift off topic into other issues, the issues you discuss always resonate with me. And whether I agree or not i'm glad you guys go to the places you go. (I.e interracial dating. light skin vs dark skin etc.) As a movie lover I find it so important that other perspectives be heard and I am glad and PROUD that you guys are filling that void. Keep up the good work.
Two things before I go.
1.Jay, I hate to do this to you but you are using the word brevity when you mean levity. Brevity means brief. Levity means to lighten an otherwise very tense situation. Please stop confusing them. You are killing me.
2. I liked it when you had a girl on. I love hearing that perspective. I think it's very important and y'all should try to do that more.
P.S. I hate cops too. Go Celtics”Read full review »

“Fairly new listener, but racing though episodes. Great podcast with an excellent mix of personalities. But these young Thundercats sometimes fail to understand the time that some of these films were made. Context is everything. Jungle Fever, Hollywood Shuffle, School Daze and others make more...”Read full review »

“Was put on to this podcast when the group appeared on The Black Guy Who Tips show, and I've enjoyed the show ever since. This group is not only funny--the Baltimore slander is a nice touch, reminds me of home--but it's also good to hear their takes on some of the subjects of the films...”Read full review »
