A good listen but incredibly bias
This is podcast is written well enough to make me continue to listen but it is incredibly bias. It seems to intentionally leave out information that I so badly wanted them to address. For instance, in Alabama the stand your ground law states an individual has the right to use, deadly or physical force to defend themselves if they are in fear of IMMINENT serious, physical harm or death. In order for a condition to be imminent death or serious harm must be threatened, AND it must be reasonably likely that a serious accident could IMMEDIATELY or before abatement would otherwise be implemented. Since J was shot in the back of the head while lying down “resting” I questioned if the requirements under the law were truly met. If they were met that had to proven. Now having said that, I truly feel for Devon. She is more believable than J’s side piece. However, it is law enforcement and the judge’s job to enforce the law as written even if it is poorly written. Instead of attacking the issue from that angle the podcast spent the majority of the time creating racial issues where there sometimes weren’t any.

More reviews of Blind Plea
I can’t believe we are letting our mothers and daughters be treated this way by the justice system. It is heartbreaking and no justice at all.
