“I really wanted to love this podcast. Deven’s story was compelling and the overall podcast in terms of production, the order the story was presented, etc, was great. Lots of great reporting and sources for info and interviews. I believe I share the political and emotional point of view of the host, but therein lies the problem - I just didn’t feel like her political and emotional point of view should have been so prominent here. I would have found this equally compelling without her editorializing; I wish they’d have let the facts speak for themselves and kept their own love for Deven in the background. By the end it seemed like a Deven fan podcast. Also, the host’s up-and-down voice pattern was very distracting.”
