Wow, when you read these reviews you realise how much people really hate women, and hearing them speak. I like the informal and conversational style of the presenters - it’s a nice counterpoint to scientific language and sometimes less charismatic style that comes from the experts. They capture...Read full review »

Great companion to the programme. Really enjoyed the extra information and interviews with the producers and directors and of course Sir David Attenborough. Also generally liked the presenters of the podcast as at times it feels like your are chatting and learning with friends. However on...Read full review »

I love learning more about the behind the scenes of my favourite BBC documentary Blue Planet! The girls are such fun presenters and the scientists and producers really interesting to listen to!

Loved it, wish there was more. A perfect companion to David Attenborough

Very sad BBC is restricting this.

Is it possible that it has to play on a TV channel before this becomes available? When is the tv show set to air in Canada?
Jillybean4149 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/27/17
This podcast is one of the best things about Blue Planet. Stories about wildlife do not have to be serious and scientific. I love listening to this with my daughter - the presenters are really natural and funny and have a great balance of quirky science and how-they-filmed-it behind the scenes...Read full review »

Have never written an iTunes review of anything before but I enjoy this podcast so much I had to work out how to do it. Very informative and entertaining - manages to be accessible without being patronising, which can be usual for a scientific podcasts

Fun, informative and fascinating.

Presenters totally ruin it. Get rid of them and just focus on the interviewees who have a lot of insight to offer.

I love the show and find it so interested and I find this is a great addition to the show presented by two women who are equally excited and intrigued by the show and want to find out more about the show like myself and present it in a fun and informative way. A really great podcast with insights from the show and presenters who are refreshingly off the wall

Informative and still understandable. Probably not for high brow marine biologists but isn't part of the reason for Blue Planet so smaller brained little folk like me get to be part of the experience every so often. You shouldn't always need a degree to qualify to watch and listen. Love...Read full review »

I love the BBC nature documentaries but this podcast really takes the biscuit. All "snazzy", "chatty" and just plain "chavvy" it simply gets on one's nerves. Also, please ban the words "actually", "basically" and "literally". It's great to...Read full review »

If Blue Planet attracts an audience based on the quality of the production and the detail of information, why lower standards in a podcast presumably to the same audience, by dumbing it down so much? Really hard to follow with so many sound effects and the presenters add very little, which is a...Read full review »

Three episodes in and I'm really enjoying this podcast. The production values are high, the enthusiasm of the presenters fine for half an hour, and the mix of topics a nice way to build on the TV series. I get the feeling this is a pretty independent part of the Blue Planet constellation, but...Read full review »

Such a shame that a wonderful BBC TV programme has been let down by such a poor podcast! The two "girlie" presenters chatter around like they are talking about boyfriends and rather spoil some good interviews with BPII producers and camera crew. If only they had just simply introduced the...Read full review »

Enjoyed the extra behind the scenes explanations of why things happen in the series. But why are all the experts men? Hoping will be more diverse on future ep’s

Only the first podcast so not going to criticise loved the music and the bit about the sound design some beautiful samples looking forward to more interviews with the cameramen etc

I love how this podcast is presented: amusing yet intelligent. This is a highly recommended podcast, especially after watching each episode.

I listened to this because I was impressed by the technical excellence of the TV show - and the few interviews with the staff involved were to the same standard - but the two girlie presenters totally ruin the tone of the broadcast - a mild description would be ditsy - I don't want to listen...Read full review »

Love any Atbo doc, but this podcast extends the joys and wonders of blue planet II. Definitely give it a listen but only after you’ve seen the corresponding episode! Fun presenters and interviews from the Blue Planet II team. Five stars.

I’m a marine biologist and huge fan of blue planet. These presenters are the most irritating and irrelevant people I’ve ever heard hosting a podcast. Love the interviews and stories from the teams behind the show, I recommend skipping the stupid and immature hosts.

Loving the extra info about the series. Both the science of the crazy fish and the craft behind the camera work. Also, pretty refreshing to hear two young women in charge of things.

I LIVE for blue planet but my god these girls are beyond irritating. I could only listen to 5 minutes before these overtly posh idiots put me off entirely. So disappointing.

I love this podcast, it gives a great behind the scenes view at how this amazing show was created. I love the production of the podcast, with all the surround sound and effects. I was as immersed in the podcast as the show itself!

I really enjoyed the first episode of Blue Planet II and found the podcast to be a really interesting, funny companion to the show – great work!

There’s terrible background white noise on the recording and lots of sounds and effects played over each other.
