“I can't tolerate A-Ron and his insipid, facile attempts at analysis of the show. I am a big fan of the way the other guy thinks on this podcast, though. I totally appreciate his attempts to find meaning and metaphor in the ARTISTRY of the show. In my book, this brilliance of this program is not the unconventional story lines or the darkness/grittiness of the program. It's the sum of all the artistic parts -- the brilliant acting, music/scoring, camera work, writing, editing, pacing, etc.
I am totally digging the smart host's attempts of this "cast" (kinda' grating that the two hosts refer to their podcast as a "cast" -- especially the ridiculous self-important "A-Ron" person, who CLEARLY loves to hear the sound of his own voice; I wish he'd kinda' be quiet and think through things before he just starts spouting "analysis") to find meaning in things like the consistent, persistent appearance of black coffee as this season's arc unfolds; or the camera work, or set design, or brilliant production design.
Keep up the SMART analysis and please, please, please put a pair of tighty whities in the other guy's mouth so he can say, like, half as much. And in half as self-important a way.
Four stars is all I can muster -- and all four are reserved exclusively for the host of this podcast who is clearly a real fan of the show the other guy could go away and I'd be much happier for it.”Read full review »

As a result I decided to look for a decent companion podcast and saw both " breaking bad...”Read full review »
