Brilliant, wholesome, knowedgable quality!
An outstanding podcast full of in depth analysis or what my non-F1 fan colleagues call 'twaddle'. But for anyone interested in Formula One history it is a must-listen. It doesn't just regurgitate the past but analyses, evaluates, gives measured and reasoned opinions, and is never afraid to ask 'what if'... It touches on many areas of F1 History-both well-known and forgotten, and showcases such a variety of talking points that every episode feels different. The enthusiasm from the presenters is always great to listen to as much as the special guests have always given such an amazing insight into the topics too.It is a true celebration of Formula One History in the detail and depth it deserves. I have two questions for the podcast: firstly if the 2003 Brazillian grand prix had run the full distance, did Fisichella have to pit again for fuel and if so where would he have finished? Secondly, how on earth did Luca Badoer get up to fourth place in the 1999 European grand prix?! I've watched the race many times and still cannot fathom how he managed to be running so high up before his unfortunate retirement. I have many other questions but I feel I should leave it there. I would love to hear a podcast with Edd Straw all about the Life W10 though, the worst Formula One car (relative pace-wise) ever made!!! With best wishes and all the very best to everyone at The Race for bringing this brilliant podcast into my life.Read full review »

Some had their issues, others dominated, but it was by far the most entertaining time in Motorsport. The...Read full review »

Suggestions for episodes: 1) the Mercedes Junior team (Schumacher, Frentzen, Wendlinger). At the time, who did Mercedes thing was the surest bet? 2) Michael Andretti’s disastrous F1 career. What went wrong? 3 Jacques Villenueve’s Williams’ test before being signed.

This era was the pinnacle of Formula one and the detailed insights given are amazing. I would personally like you to cover the twists and turns of the ‘98 season, such as events in Spa.
