Horrifying in the best way
It's not a horror book, although it has those elements. It's a deep meditation on how modern life forces to accept commercialism in lieu of genuine human interaction. It further ponders our over reliance on systems of support given to us, and the fragility and absurdity of our decisions when we make them as a group, especially under trying circunstances. I have listened to this three times, and am now back to download these episodes again.

Ok, so like other people, I worry about the basic premise of this story. Why can't they just walk down the broken escalators? Other than that, it's well read by the author and well written in general. Just a bit more thought needed.

I almost bailed on this podiobook but I'm glad I didn't.
