Why now? The latest episodes are for paying listeners only! I was always a bit suspicious of the sponsor. Support for women? Highlighting domestic violence? Only for paying customers. Those who don’t want to give Murdoch/Page their money, miss out on the conclusion on what is otherwise fantastic...Read full review »

Love listening to hedley always but unless ALL can listen to the latest episodes as they are released interest may dwindle which is not what is wanted as I believe he is so close to revealing what we all know just as in teachers pet. Again we’ll done hedley👍

Totally hooked - when are episodes 11+ coming to this platform?

Disappointing to see this paywalled for “season 2” despite the advertising throughout these episodes. Understanding the production is not free but subscribing to multinational right wing billionaire corporation isn’t on my to list. I hope the interest in the case gathers momentum and leads for...Read full review »

Good information- feels pretty obvious that the guy killed her. Depressing to hear of the police response. Sometimes the intonation is a bit off which makes listening jarring… the emphasis often on the wrong word in the sentence makes it a little frustrating to listen to - otherwise I’d give it 5...Read full review »

I absolutely love your investigative podcasts! Your thoroughness and in depth coverage is engrossing. I am anxiously awaiting more episodes of Bronwyn! I feel there may be a similar outcome for Bronwyn as there was for Lynette. ❤️

I’ve been refreshing multiple times a week since July 18th, re-listening each episode and ‘the insufferable one that shall not be named’, only to find out ‘Pt II’ is behind a Murdoch Paywall? May I suggest a podcast only subscription. I 5 Star love this podcast but as I refuse to pay $50 for The...Read full review »

Amazing podcast and investigative journalism.

I was super interested in this podcast, and then a break occurred to asses new evidence. No updates only on the Australian website which we have to pay for. Lost interest, not great to not update your viewers!

I am wondering…before JW wrapped Bronwyn in sheets and placed her in the back seat, did JW put Bronwyn’s body into the boot of the car while he went to get petrol…explaining car bottoming out and car engine and lights turned off. Maybe he took her with him in a panicked move so as to not leave...Read full review »

Stumbled upon The Teacher’s Pet and have since devoured everything by Hedley. Bronwyn is another example of thoughtful and thorough long form journalism. Really appreciate how he handles sensitive topics. 5 stars! Can’t wait for episode 11!!

Why now? The latest episodes are for paying listeners only! Is this suddenly no longer in the public interest? I’m So disappointed but Murdoch isn’t getting my money.

I listen to all podcasts by Hedley. He is magnificent and so pleasant to listen to. The research, the production, the way he approaches a case, it’s all on point and so well done. I absolutely love everything about it. Regarding the case, it’s immensely frustrating how incompetent the police...Read full review »

Great work so far but the overwhelming feedback I have received is that by making podcasts available behind a paywall is not in line with the sentiment of the podcast nor will it reach the intended audience. You have dropped the ball here and the community hopes you rectify.

I love this podcast and want to scream each time I look to see if a new episode is finally out instead of being exclusively available on The Australian (which by the way I couldn’t get to work even when I tried being a paid subscriber). Please release episode 11. I’ve been waiting for sooo long.

Why he thought we’d want to not only listen to the opinion of a gen z distantly related student who wants to be a criminologist is beyond me. But to make her an investigative partner was the last straw. Hadley’s come back to the pack in a brutal way

I really shouldn’t be surprised by another excellent product by Hedley and his team. What should be surprising is another horrible story of yet another missing woman and the inept response by authorities, but sadly…

Yet another brilliant podcast from Hedley. I really hope Bronwyn’s family, most of all her children, find justice and her killer is put behind bars for good. Looking forward to the next episodes after the break in production! Well done guys 👏🏼

Good stuff Hedley God bless crystal, what a beautiful young lady. Bronwyn received bad advice, bricklayers always over react, have done for centuries. I’ve listened to all Hedley’s podcasts since The Teacher’s Pet. Didn’t think The Night Driver was great but this one is back to his usual high standard. Uncanny similarities to The Teacher’s Pet too. Here’s hoping it can be a catalyst to finally obtaining justice for Bronwyn. Australia sounds...Read full review »

Thank you Hedley, for bringing to light facts about this story. I am heartbroken as most would be that this woman’s children haven’t had any closure and she that her killer is most likely living his best life. The police really bungled up at the time and should not let this go cold agaain.
kezandco via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/26/24
Wonderful stuff from Headley Thomas and his team. It seems we need this research and fact checking because the police fail or the DPP refuses to prosecute where blind Freddy can see what has happened. Just frustrating to witness.

I’m halfway through and am really enthralled by this podcast. However the constant referrals to the Lynette Dawson case and the constant plugging for the Teachers Pet Podcast is starting to wear thin. Hedley is doing it again. Giving a voice and some dignity to people who have lost both. It is heartbreaking to listen to - especially when young children are told that mummy just left! Big fan of Hedley and all of his work, the inclusion of Maddie in this one though is a bit off the pace. She doesn’t offer anything but a sounding board for Hedleys ideas and her contributions make me feel like I’m listening I’m in on some school yard gossip.

I’ve listened to Hadley’s podcasts before but this first episode of this one was so very confusing, it turned me right off. I’ll try and give it another go. But I think it should be assumed that people don’t know about the case and you should present it in a manner easier to understand and follow.
kellilyn9 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 08/09/24
Hadley has a great voice for podcasts. Anyone (like myself) who lived in Australia but can’t quite listen to the accent anymore, try this podcast! Hoping in the second season some irrefutable evidence comes to light.

You are all doing amazing work on this one! I don’t get the negativity towards Maddie I think she is doing a fantastic job and thinking out of the box. Not to mention the time and effort she’s putting into all the research she is doing

That Bronwyn is portrayed as a ‘hysterical, unstable female’ makes my blood boil. Just goes to show how horribly biased the detective was, and those around him at the time. Sad story of another spouse in this case the husband having something to do with the death of the missing wife but way to much detail and too many episodes keep it short and to the point!

There’s no other bloke that typifies the area more than Scruffy. A bit rough around the edges but an absolute character, very sharp and with some pointed commentary.
