Wonderful Podcast - amazing interviews
I found this podcast a few days ago and have devoured the interviews. These are extraordinary interviews with brilliant scholars and thinkers about the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire that lasted from 395 through 1453. Kaldellis is a deep scholar and fine writer about Eastern Rome and has assembled a series of equally brilliant guests to talk about history, sex, death, religion, and environmentalism in a part of the ancient world that lives on in surprising ways. If you like history or want a deep understanding of some of the hidden forces in the modern world, this is for you!
