Listened to the first episode and the sound quality is excellent. Acting is expressive, decent and the storyline sounds intriguing. The draw back is that the story pulls in woke ideology and that really negates the desire to listen further.

What’s not to like about this show? I love Arthurian retellings, especially ones that add several twists like the one does (modern day post apocalyptic, Arthur isn’t the main focus, and some other things that are spoilers). There is so much to learn and wonder about the world: why are stories...Read full review »

Such a brilliant inclusive and creative story with folklore and mythology weaving through it. Hoping for season 2

I absolutely love love love this! The creativity and beautiful adaptation of old stories is just genius. But the humanity and solidarity I felt listening is extraordinary. So many times I was stopped dead in my tracks by a line from a character. Smiling and laughing and weeping in every episode....Read full review »

Well acted, well scripted, the post-apocalyptic setting is so mysterious and tense. This is such a good twist on the old “mythical figures roam the world again” trope, making it all feel so fresh

Really loved this, thought it was really well done and the music was enjoyable. Nice new perspective on the Arthurian theme. Hope there’s a season 2

the characters had some awesome dynamics between them from the get-go, it made the episode feel very engaging and like it really existed in its own world, you know? also the production was FANTASTIC

It is an exciting story with good and Fun characters. Very well voice acted and great sounds. The ending is a bit unsatisfactory because it is very open; we even don’t know what the immediate faith of the main characters will be. I surely hope there will be a second season in which the “rules” of...Read full review »

The premise is great, the ideas as well, but unfortunately the execution is not on par, too much special effects/ noise and the whole thing is disorienting, for example in episode 2 the only thing i got was that there was a horse. It feels like the sound engineer is very very inexperienced and...Read full review »

Wanted to like the show, as it has great potential. But poor dialogue audio plus uneventful and unclear storyline, mad it hard. The lack of dialogue audibility is pretty tough.

If you love lore and myth with a sprinkle of apocalyptic vibes, you have found perfection. Great actors, audio engineering, and twisting takes. I hope support continues so we can delve further into the future and past!

I loved the first season of this so so much, the characters are beautifully realised and feel so deep and rich. The acting is amazing and the sound design/music absolutely second to none.

The idea of having ancient folklore come alive in an apocalyptic setting is amazing. I love the voice talent in this, the sound editing starts a little rough for me but the story pulls you in quickly. I am looking forward to a season 2. Diolch am wrando

Camlann combines a post-apocalyptic world in which human life appears to have been almost (!) wiped out, with characters from the legends around King Arthur. Camlann is a superlative piece of storytelling. Ella Watts and friends tap some very deep roots and find new growth. What first seems to be a tale of three survivors of an apocalypse rapidly becomes a world of wonders where names have power. The Matter of Britain is skilfully re-worked,...Read full review »

I wanted to like this show. I gave it 4 episodes (well, 5 if you count the mini-episode 4.5), but I’ve given up. There’s nothing really exciting about it. Each episode is so well-crafted, with such specificity and intentionality towards the characters and the world, particularly in regards to the Welsh-ness of it all. You can tell it was made with a lot of love for the story and the people in it. Looking forward to more seasons!!

I guess you’d call it Camlann. Probably not what the title means but that’s what I think of when I listen to it. It’s fraught with danger but every episode feels soft and inviting.
