“.......please listen to this podcast if you are anyway interested in video games as I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far and I'm sure you would too.
The format of the show is very simple but incredibly effective and consists of a group of passionate gamers talking in detail about what they like and sometimes don't like about some of the more recent classic video games as well as some older games too.
What works well with this format is how they discuss in detail one game that all guests have played (and recently replayed) and I quite often learn more about not only the game itself but also the history and the influences upon the developers and other games.
The team come across as very likeable and it's nice to hear some thoughtful and intelligent conversation about games that I like instead of the usual macho juvenile humourless nonsense I've heard elsewhere.
If video games are to be truly respected then it's conversations like these that need to be had more often.
The only thing I would say about the show is that it does work better if you have already played the game they discuss beforehand and they do recognise this by having a schedule on the website so that you can play beforehand if you haven’t done so already.
