Every once in a blue moon icky politics raise their divisive head

As with most ensemble podcasts some members of the team are better than others but that’s personal taste more than anything. This is often a great show but I just can’t stand the sanctimonious left wing sjw drivel they break out into every now again. You’re reviewing video games ffs, does anyone...Read full review »

This is a great podcast with great discussions and breakdowns of games and mechanics. Very good to go to after finishing a game and hearing in depth thoughts and discussion.

I kept waiting for any of the hosts to correct each other's wrong takes about SMT3 Nocturne's gameplay, but with the exception of Leah who used a walkthrough, they all missed blatant mechanics, switched to easy mode, then complained that easy mode lessened the game's impact. Nobody...Read full review »

There is nice chill vibe to this podcast that I enjoy. They have a range of opinions on the show. Only thing is sometimes I feel that they aren’t always as intentional with their critiques. For example: not sure how Dragon’s Dogma was called an amazing game and none of it’s obvious flaws were...Read full review »

I listen to this everyday on the bus and while playing video games I love this podcast

Cane and rinse is by far the best piece of artistic journalism and critique I have ever witnessed and here is why. I discovered it last year while I was spending WAY TOO MUCH time in my car because of work. [Oh, by the way, this is the part where I talk about my life, feel free to skip this...Read full review »

As an adult, I am lucky to finish 2 games a year but whenever I do I check to see if that game has a Cane and Rinse episode. The discussion is insightful, thorough and entertaining. Often when I am struggling to pick my next game, I look at my unplayed episodes for inspiration. Even episodes on...Read full review »

Straight to the point yet incredibly in depth. The Cane and Rinse podcast is my favourite gaming podcast ever. Professionally produced and created to such a high standard you can easily listen to the latest episode or listen in to an episode from 2014 and it all sounds crisp and uniformed. I’ve always been a bit of an odd gamer. There’s not really any one type of game I enjoy or despise. I like at least one game in every genre. From Final Fantasy, Persona, Nier to Mutant League Football, Rocket League, NBA Jam to Telltale’s Walking Dead, Detroit:Become Human, and Until Dawn. I love...Read full review »

Superbly enjoyable podcast. Incredible in-depth discussion by a group of people who are passionate about gaming but also come across as really friendly and enjoy each other’s company. Try it. You won’t regret it.

The Cane and Rinse team REALLY know their stuff and are an absolute pleasure to listen to. While I only listen to episodes where I’ve played the game (or intend to) the podcast is of such a standard that had I more time I’d happily listen to episodes where I’ve got no interest in playing the...Read full review »

Great podcast! Relaxing to listen to, great variety (both of games and perspectives) and my all-time favorite format for and execution of a video game podcast. Keep it up!

I’ll start with the positives - when you get an episode with a set of engaging hosts who are really passionate about the game they’re covering, this is one of the best podcasts ever. (Old school game episodes with Leon and Michiel are great!) But when you hit an episode with a group of less...Read full review »

I really enjoy this video game podcast. A solid group of personalities and some interesting discussions abound. I personally enjoy the lack of hyperbole and bombast - it’s a pleasant listen.

The earlier episodes were great, but as the older hosts left and newer ones were brought in the show became a shadow of its former self. I recommend listening to episodes 1-200 but after that there is really no point in continuing.

Video games are fun. Talking about video games should be fun. Right? Then why does no one seem to be having any (fun) on this most pedantic and sleep inducing of podcasts? On paper this looks like a surefire hit: a bunch of nerds talk about your favorite games, old and new. Trouble is, most of...Read full review »

These guys and girls are really awesome and really go in depth with what game they are covering.and they don’t interrupt each other and they let everyone have there say and they all flow naturally and the podcast never seems to bore me I wish them all the best.

Incredibly in-depth and insightful discussion around the game itself, sometimes adjacent games, and the medium as a whole. A well rounded, informative video game podcast. Seemingly less concerned with the LOUD REACTIONS and almost hive-mind like opinions that proliferate the mainstream, the Cane & Rinse team present a professional and knowledgeable episode each and every time. Highly recommended.

The deepest and most comprehensive game review/retrospective podcast I have yet encountered. The panelists always come armed with knowledge and experience to dive into the minutia of each game they discuss.

Love these podcasts. The only thing in my opinion that can be improved on is stop trying to not offend people. We don’t need an explanation stating why SJW’s shouldn’t verbally attack you. Other than that keep up the good work guys.

Been a listener for almost 8 years and a Patreon supporter for 2 (I think?) and I would highly suggest it to anyone interested in a deeper look at the medium. Best games podcast on the internet by a country mile.

Good show. Was enjoying listening to the Hyper Light Drifter episode whilst playing the game. Until the amwarning-free ending spoiler was dropped mid-show. Having read the description I’d assumed this wouldn’t be a spoilercast. So, I’d ask for more vigilance on spoiling games.

Great panellists usually with insightful and often revealing discussion, but occasionally the uptalk (not in all episodes, but panellist Ryan comes to mind) really grates on the ears.
