Description
In this week's episode, I'm joined by Sam Curran, the professional cricket player who represents both England and Surrey, and who was signed at just seventeen years old. I wanted to dive into Sam's lifestyle both on and off the pitch, exploring key wellness topics like sleep, supplements, and mental health. In professional sports, the mental game is just as crucial as the physical, so I was keen to hear how Sam manages the pressure to consistently perform at a high level and what strategies he uses to unwind.
We also discussed the strict rules and regulations around supplements, protein powders, and anything that could be considered an unfair performance enhancer in professional sports. This is a highly sensitive and tightly regulated area, to the point where even certain steaks might be off-limits due to the hormones they could contain.
Finally, Sam shared his passion for coffee, including the fact that he takes his coffee machine on tour with him. He’s also recently teamed up with his brother to launch a coffee company called Naked Grounds.
This episode is packed with insights and stories about Sam that you might not know, and I think you're going to love it.
