I have listened for over 3 years. I enjoy hearing Luke and Gomer talk about various topics from Lukes love of Don Draper or the new obsession Gomer has on Youtube the show never gets boring. I will continue listening and laughing along every minute of the way!

I can’t get enough of Catching Foxes! This podcast combines humor, thoughtful discussions, and genuine insights into a perfect blend. Luke and Gomer have an incredible chemistry that makes each episode engaging and entertaining. The topics are diverse, ranging from faith and culture to personal...Read full review »

Post Gomer leaving his job and Luke’s divorce, the topics and podcast have really gone downhill. May be a natural outgrowing for them personally, but I find myself skipping almost entire episodes now. Believe it’s dying a slow death!

It’s simply put two best friends experiencing life together who authentically—and hilariously—open the window to their thoughts as Catholics striving to live authentically. I have always loved the rawness of the show, and it’s fun being a fly on the wall in their conversations about literally...Read full review »

In the middle of listening to the episode on the priesthood. . . Love it! Makes me feel like I am back at FUS!

I’m not quite old enough to be their mom, but I’m kinda old. I like how this podcast feels like just hanging out with some cool young catholic guys. Wished they talk about more catholic things but sometimes hearing about picking skin off your feet is a good time.

I’ve heavily discerned it and episode 200 was my favourite probably of all time. Thank you. You two help me love the Lord more on the weekly :’) Also, the review I wrote a while back that my phone saved, but I never actually submitted... Most people binge watch Netflix, but I binge listen to you...Read full review »

Too much stupid banta - a bit of fun is great but these guys just don’t know when to stop with their inside jokes. So many better shows out there.

No. Is this a bad show? Also no. Luke and Gomer are a bit too ad hoc to make a good show. It’s never a bad show, it’s just probably 70% skippable to 30% insightful. But most of the skippable stuff is usually enjoyable even if being just catholic anima techniqua vacua or whatever.

Thanks for your commitment to our church.

Have you checked out Jonathan Pageau’s podcast, the Symbolic World? His whole focus is on how the modern West has lost sight of the symbolic, opting instead for what can be “proven,” counted, etc.

Honestly Catholic!

It’s a show where a couple of guys who are Catholic talk. Sometimes they talk about Catholic things/perspectives, sometimes not. A few times there are insights. Most times it can feel like a closed feedback loop. That can be frustrating. As I listened to more episodes, I found myself increasingly...Read full review »

Very insightful and interesting podcast. I hear every episode

Love hearing your voices every week. I know it’s hard to send us this blessing when you guys have your own lives to live and jobs to work, but I appreciate you soooo much!

The Batman episode is 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽. I’m glad y’all didn’t quit. I’m officially a patreon after all these years.

Bored, stay at home mom with Irish twins (who is probably bad at domestic life)…. Thanks for the content. I really enjoy listening each week. It helps keep my sanity

Never was sure what the point of this podcast was. Now that they went down the Nazi path re the TLM (which I don’t attend)I think they’re just a couple of jerks.

Great guys having conversation that is mess but raw and genuine. Sometimes I catch myself talking back as if I am apart of the conversation. Thank you! Sometimes I agree and other times I don’t, either way you get me thinking.

I love this podcast and look forward to it every week. I have been a listener from the beginning. I feel like I am part of the conversation just listening to it. You get a little bit of Sts Peter and Paul in every episode. The Zeal and bravado of St Peter, and the Theological clarity and...Read full review »

Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for the most recent episode. Dreadful stuff.

I love your show and oddly so does my wife. It is so great to hear devout Catholics living normal lives, struggling with normal things, and not being Taylor Marshall.

I met Gomer briefly when I was a teen at a Steubenville east conference where he spoke about the compatibility of faith and science. I never forgot about him or his talk. I always hoped that someday, I could find more of his content. One day in college, I came across THIS PODCAST! I’ve been a...Read full review »

I really enjoy hearing both of your perspectives on cultural/political issues in the rare instances they come up; clearly one of you leans left and the other right, but your common foundation in Christ and His Church keeps the discussion sane and productive.

Going to be honest about this one. I discovered this podcast at SEEK 2019 because I was waiting in line to talk to Matt Fradd and one of them started talking to us. I don’t remember which of you two it was and honestly I still don’t know which of you is which, you’re just a conglomerate of two...Read full review »

Timer and Luke do a great job chatting about the every day life of what it means to be a Lake Catholic in this modern society. They bring a lighthearted view to some topics and a very direct and needed view of other topics. Their back-and-forth style complements themselves very well. If you have...Read full review »

My husband introduced me to this podcast, I hated it at first but over the course of our marriage I have come to tolerate it and even listen on my own occasionally.

Real chats about concerns of every day Catholic folk. Gotta love it.

Edit: That was a great recorrection guys. Still disagree with things but kept it more balanced and always brought it back to Christ and what we should actually be striving for in our personal lives even if society as a whole is not. Catching foxes used to be a voice of reason. It used to push...Read full review »

I always enjoy listening to this podcast. It reminds me of when me and my Newman buddies get together. A very honest and authentic podcast, I would highly recommend it!

The best description I have for this podcast is self-indulgent. For their own sake and the sake of the Church they should probably retire.

I have been listening to Catching Foxes from almost their beginning and love Luke and Gomer’s honesty and depth as they wrestle with faith and culture. I worked in a parish for one year and Gomer and Luke reaffirm I wasn’t crazy, but my experience was unfortunately normal.

Loved listening to this podcast until I had to listen to almost two hours of Gomer trying to justify voting for Trump. Like maybe if it takes that much convincing something isn’t right about it.... When they don’t try to wade into politics this is a great show about the faith and culture without...Read full review »

Honest, fun and insightful. I enjoy the length of the episodes and the honest and open dialogue around faith and cultural issues. Occasionally they’ll drift into topics I’m not interested in (cue avengers) but that’s cool. At some point I’ll have to find out who the heck Balthazar is 😂

I get the criticism of Catching Foxes. My husband can’t stand them and thinks their arrogant and childish. Fair enough. I’m also arrogant and childish sometimes. Gomer’s Best Friend Chris Miller here. I just started listening to this show. I’m pleased with the amount of “Best Friend Chris Miller” references.
