Good, Could be Great
I don't mind a short, personable intro that reveals the personalities of the hosts... but 20 minutes is too much. It's fun to hear your opinions and banter when woven into the story, but please limit the intro. I know it's irritating to hear the same critiques, but that comes with making public entertainment. On to the pros: Excellent podcast voices; very expressive and varies in tone, which makes for a more enjoyable experience. Being upset that they have "Valley Girl" accent is rooted in misogyny and not a valid criticism. The memoirs aren't just being recited, they're being dissected and analyzed. Is it thesis-level material? No, and it's not supposed to be! I enjoy the opinions of the hosts for the most part, though I do feel there is an occasional lack of empathy for the subjects of the episode. Excited to hear more.Read full review »
