The whole series misses the point
I found this series interesting in a way that wasn’t intended. First off as an American it’s interesting to get a glimpse into the naïveté of small town canadians. Including the host of the series. I think the series would have been a lot more impactful if it talked about the real issue and that’s how weak the American social safety net really is when it comes to physical and mental health. This is really a story about how those differences between the US and Canada play out. Also none of the things talked about by the mom and these two boys later in the series is actually challenged. It’s just taken at face value that the US gov’t can’t be trusted, these guys are part of some mythical live forever cause and the one had a “girlfriend” from Serbia (catfish?). These guys are way more messed up and I think the host didn’t realize. The conclusion is really just “Oh weird American conspiracy nonsense flies over head of Canadian podcaster.”

More reviews of Chameleon: Wild Boys
Sam. You did such a good job infusing compassion into this story. I was riveted episodes 1-4, 6-7. But then, I admit, I just started to despise Roan and Kyle. Still, I finished the show because it was beautifully crafted despite their hubris.
