Episode for You can mend clothes
Just finished listening to your latest episode and you commend clothes and I loved the simplicity of it and I’ll certainly pass it on to non-sewing friends. The thing which caught my attention me is that you don’t have to actually mend clothes as such you can just make them more wearable. My mum (she’s 84) broke her back in an accident last year and she’s lost 5” in height. Today I’ve shortened 3 of her dresses which she can now wear..she’s happy and I’m chuffed that shortening them saved her from buying new garments. It also made me look up how to use a twin stretch needle. So thanks very much Zoe 😀 Re our Surrey Sews afternoon tea..we’re having a meeting tonight so we should firm up some more details.

This podcast is one of my favorites to listen to. I love there’s subject matter of sustainability, which is a particular interest not only personally but in my art as a textile artist. I find the podcasts very informative with interesting guests.
