Elicits very useful information from his guests
I've voraciously consumed the entire back catalog of Ben Johnson's Perpetual Chess podcast, which is all great. And Kevin—on Chess Journeys—has interviewed some of the same people. For reasons I can't pin down, Kevin's interviewing style somehow has managed to elicit very useful additional information from those overlapping guests that hasn't come out on either Perpetual Chess or any other venue. IMO this is the best chess podcast that caters for adult improvers. By miles. There’s no nonsense about the best known chess players like Magnus etc whose style of play has zero relevance to us mere mortals.
