“Unbelievably sad and moving. So sensitively handled from the perspective of survivors and locals. I remember this tragedy so clearly being broadcast on the news back in the UK. I too came to Australia as a backpacker and now live down the road from Childers, and stop in at the memorial to pay my respects. It really is a beautiful memorial and a beautiful little town.”
