“Host clears throat so much, mumbles, takes time to look up info while recording, reads it off quickly and poorly, calls her own tangents “delightful”, etc. I don’t think there’s any editing or post-production. But the content is interesting and the lack of polish could be charming if it weren’t so distracting/annoying. Not necessarily an enjoyable lesson but full of great info.”

“I was really excited to listen to the episode on Frau Perchta and Gryla, since I have done quite a bit of reading on Perchta but haven’t found much in the way of interesting analysis and certainly no gender-based comparisons of them with similar winter (but masculine) “punisher” figures.
