Underwhelming
I have enjoyed quite a few of Thomas Flight‘s YouTube videos and was very disappointed with this podcast. I went through the entire five-part series on gangster films and found it lacking in substance, insight or any added value. The two hosts ramble along, with endless 'ums' and 'errs', looking for words, slowly developing fairly banal ideas while they speak, sometimes contradicting themselves within a few minutes. There is no editing to speak of, yet the two are simply not compelling enough when they present their thoughts as they form them in real time. I know that there is an audience for conversational slow-paced rambling podcasts, and people have left very positive reviews here, but I am clearly not part of that group. I like my media "somewhat tightly packed", so this is simply not for me.Read full review »

Two of the sharpest minds of film analyses join forces. This is going to be my new favourite podcast.
