“It would be nice to hear how farmers feel about government subsidies. There was a comment regarding growing produce at a decent price for consumers in episode 1. As an apple grower in Washington state where minimum wage is approaching $20 soon, the cost of production is growing exponentially. The issue is more complex than government subsidies and from my experience the last thing any farmer wants is government intervention. I know every industry is different, but in my experience activists aren’t always working with the farmers best interest.”
