“I enjoy listening to this podcast. Audio quality is moderate, and speaking volume is not always consistent between episodes, but overall it's a great way to listen to poetry. A very good podcast to have. Also, check their website for the written transcripts of poems.”

“I enjoy classic poetry and was quite enthusiastic to find this podcast. I especially enjoy Edgar Allen Poe. I would, however, like to request "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes. That is one of my favorite poems.
Thank you and please continue making podcasts!”

“Thankyou for this comprehensive and eclectic mix of poetry.
To those reviewers who say it represents a fraud of some sort etc...... I say, twaddle!!! Not a bit of it.
Each poem is fully read out, and has the actual writing/wording of each said poem also as an accompaiment.Fantastic.
The beginning...”Read full review »

“This podcast gives a good variety of classic poetry. The problem I have with it is this: the reader has no sense of poetry at all. The words are well-read and the reader's voice is pleasant to hear, but it's as if he is reading prose. Every once in a while I'll hear a rhyme and it will...”Read full review »

“I listen to them all and I'm happy to have them, thanks very much. I'd like to request a reading of "Broken Vows" by Lady Gregory, please, and perhaps some song lyrics that might deserve this treatment (Suzanne by Leonard Cohen, for example, or In My Life by the Beatles, perhaps, if you think...”Read full review »

“Downloaded several episodes- each were a notice saying the website had run out of bandwidth and asking for a donation. No poetry AT ALL. I don't see how that would effect iTunes anyway- and even if it did, why not just suspend downloads and put up a note?”

“I download a number of episodes of this podcast only find out that all I got was a message saying I should got to their web site and donate money to get future podcast. This is an outrageous misrepretation and boarders on fraud. This was a waste of my broadband!!!”

“This podcast is definitely one of the best. Classic Poetry isn't classic poetry unless it's read out loud by a British guy! He certainly does give voice to the poetry of the past, in a manner that shows he is serious about his poetry. Whether creeping you out with his rendition of The Raven by...”Read full review »

“In contrast to other reviewers I find the reader to be dull, flat and almost expressionless. An English accent may soothe some listeners, but the absence of any 'feeling' associated with the reading negates much of the pleasure associated with an excellent choice of poetry. Moreover, how about...”Read full review »

“I love classic poetry, and the narration, sound quality, and editing are superb, but, and there's always a but it seems, I had to stop listening. Though I truly loved the readings, they are often, more often than not, brief, as the texts are short. With my mp3 player, at least, I'd have to go...”Read full review »

“The quality is good to excellent. The poems are read very well. This man should be paid for what he does! He is preforming a service to the human race and posterity. I would only like to see more longer works preformed. Thanks!”

This podcast I receive cannot be wrong
With melodious accent ears are soothed
Hearing great poetry 'til the heart is moved

I grew up with an appreciation for poetry, which unfortunately seems to have vanished from our schools today.
