“I am a hillbilly DJ on a freeform community radio station. I've been listening to rootsy country music all my life, so I have some background in the subject. This podcast is marvelous. It is well researched, produced, and illustrated (aurally) with musical clips.
The subjects of the first 6 episodes are wide ranging, engaging (if at times horrifying) and illuminating of not just country music but American society in the mid 20th century.
Give a listen and tell a friend if yu like what you hear. No previous knowledge of country music is needed.”Read full review »

“Tyler knows his stuff, that's for dang sure. I really like the dichotomy of the professional delivery of the story vs the off-the-cuff uncensored show notes. Looking forward to more.”Read full review »

I really like country music so I enjoy learning new details about things I might’ve read...”Read full review »
