Great conversation. Good flow. Such great information. And it’s not dry like so many food and bev podcasts tend to be.

First of all, Tim does an incredible job driving conversation and interviewing all of the guests. I love the diversity of bartenders interviewed. There is something special about listening to people dive into topics deeply rooted in their identity. So many aspects of crafting drinks go overlooked...Read full review »

Great info and pace. Just wish the audio was more balanced so 4.9 stars. Love the detail about drinks and the industry as an aspiring home bartender.

Tim is the best interviewer. Love that they aren’t afraid to get nerdy on cocktails. My favorite podcast from a guy that listens to more than ten podcasts every week.

I look forward to every episode, and the cocktails I make at home for myself and my husband are top notch because of my interaction with this podcast. Hearing the origin stories and the specific directions on the making of these cocktails every week cannot be missed.

Great host, great guests, strong format. I love the personal opinions and preferences that get shared here, and the history of the cocktails, both ancient and recent. I binged half a dozen the day I found the podcast and can’t wait to listen through the whole catalog.

Great podcasts. Look forward to each one. Have you investigated using acid phosphate in cocktails? Also, I’d like to see you do a show on the Singapore Sling.

I am the owner of a new cocktail bar in Uruapan Michoacan, because of some issues I have gone from being owner to being the head bartender, I have no previous training of being a bartender however I do have some knowledge on cocktails, this has helped me to sort of learn at a faster rate, however...Read full review »

The show is informative and entertaining. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the longest intro of all time. Skip the first 3-4 minutes and you’ll be glad you did.

Imagine Malcolm Gladwell doing a podcast with Bartenders and you will have Cocktail College. Well produced and easy to listen to, you get a chance to hear the thoughts of the professionals of their craft. Highly recommended!

Love this podcast even though in the Paloma episode they said Paloma is Spanish for butterfly and it is not. Paloma is Spanish for Dove and Butterfly is Mariposa. It’s ok Gringos I forgive you. FANTASTIC podcast though! Keep it up and check your facts!

It’s an interesting concept. Talk to a respected bartender about a classic cocktail they love. Depending on the personality of the guest it can sometimes be wonderful at other times a bit laborious, especially if they think too highly of themselves! It’s nice the recipes are given at the end.

Super compelling and entertaining bartenders and creators on this podcast. I’m talking about you Cechini, Alperin, Dorman. Experts on this topic always risk coming off pompous and insufferable, but not happening here. Stellar stuff, keep up the outstanding work. I will be seeking out these...Read full review »

Tim is charming, witty, knowledgable and a most engaging host. Plus, he is a lover of martinis (hard to resist a martini man!) This podcast has wonderful and truly informative guests that offer their expert advice and share their talents on mixing up classic cocktails. The only downside is that...Read full review »

I love the various Vinepair podcasts and this ranks up there among my favorites. My wife and I are getting into making cocktails at home. We like experimenting with the original recipes and it’s fun to hear that many good bartenders love to do their own riff on a classic.

Love the deep dive into classic cocktails. This podcast is informative and entertaining and the stories and tales surrounding the cocktails are fantastic. Such a great listen! Looking forward to see what cocktails are coming next, and it’s always fun to try to guess what the next one might be.

I’m a VinePair reader so I was excited to learn of their new podcast. Really enjoyed the first episode on the Old Fashioned, now I want to hear more. In the meantime, guess I’ll have to fix myself a cocktail!

This is a great show for someone who has never made a cocktail and for cocktail snobs who think they know everything already! (Psst: they don’t.) It’s like asking your bartender friend how a drink is made and finding out a) your friend is famous and b) you can probably make that drink better next...Read full review »

I am so obsessed with Cocktail College that I wouldn’t even dare ask for financial aid to attend. TAKE MY MONEY, TIM MCKIRDY! I am not a big Old Fashioned drinker but I will be sure to drink one every time I go to a bar from now on. Thank you VinePair
