A brilliant way to learn French - magnifique!
Mark & Anna have an excellent ability to carefully (but rather rapidly) take listeners into the world of the French language. Because it's a podcast, it makes it so simple to pause and practice your pronounciation - or rewind to hear just exactly what they were saying and get the accent just right. The sequencing and speed of materials is excellent - I barely spoke a word of french yet Coffee Break French gave me the essentials in earlier episodes THEN took us on to numbers, directions, expanding the vocabulary, and so on. If you are travelling to a french-speaking country, this is THE PODCAST to download - why not, it's free?! The premium materials for this podcast are great too and well worth purchasing - for a small fee you can gain access to PDF files of the course materials and improve your spelling, comprehension, etc. The enhanced podcast (first three episodes are free) have flash cards or visuals on your iTunes screen to see the words & phrases as Mark & Anna speak them - brilliant! Mark & Anna - can't thank you enough for creating such a well-structured, fun, enjoyable podcast that leaves other French language cd's / courses for dead. My partner and I speak French every day thanks to you and we look forward to hearing the remainder of the episodes and joining you in learning another language one day soon. Merci beaucoup!Read full review »

The tips about which phrases and words are most commonly used in...Read full review »

What sets this one apart is that additional materials, while available, are not necessary to follow along. Also, it...Read full review »

This is a great way to practice French here in Florida, where French is not generally spoken. I can download the podcast to my iPhone and play the podcast when I drive to and from work. The lessons are concise and provide continual feedback. The only difficulty is trying to understand Anna when...Read full review »
