“My German is very spotty; I took 1.5 years of it in college, but that was in the late '80s and I haven't really used it since then. Having had a positive experience with Coffee Break French (first listening to all four seasons of free podcasts, and later buying and using the bonus materials for Season 4), and having listened to several of the CB German free podcasts, I decided to buy the bonus materials for Season 1 of CB German and start the season over again. So far, so good; I'm only up to the seventh episode, but I know from peeking ahead that they'll be using the language more intensively as the season progresses, and I feel sure that I'll have made good progress by the time I hit Lesson 40. I hope they'll be doing a second season. The video flash cards (bonus materials) are what I like best, as I am a visual learner and I want to see what I am hearing.”Read full review »
