Description
In this episode, Carey speaks with Scarlett Lewis, founder of the Choose Love Movement.  Scarlett founded The Choose Love Movement after she experienced the unthinkable.  Her six-year-old son, Jesse, was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012.  It was one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history. Shortly after Jesse’s death, Scarlett decided to be part of the solution to the issues that we’re seeing in our society, including those that caused the tragedy. She created the Choose Love Movement and became an advocate for character development and social and emotional learning, which teaches children and adults how to manage their emotions, feel connected, and have healthy relationships. In this episode Scarlet shares what it means to choose love and how doing so enables us to support our mental health and live our best, most joyful lives.
