Description
Jody joins me during this episode to share his secrets to building an effective onboarding process. Onboarding processes are a crucial element of employee retention. If you want to retain good employees then you need to be determined to make sure those hired have a positive experience. Tell them exactly what to expect so they can show up looking their best and feeling their best.   Any time you hire someone you want to ensure they become productive team members in no time. Creating an organized, detailed plan to welcome new employees is key. One way to do that is to create an agenda for the first week of employment. It also helps to give them a peer mentor to help with the transition. Make sure each employee, new and your veterans, know they are valued and appreciated. In this episode, we also share: the most effective strategies for creating a successful onboarding experience how peer-to-peer learning create a strong connection with new employees strategies that can be used to capitalize on the excitement of a new employee From the moment someone accepts the job you want to make sure they feel welcome and prepared for success. Employees are more most likely to leave in the first 90 days. You really have to be really, really focused on your employees. Once someone has accepted a job offer, put processes in place to keep in touch with them. If they're still there after a year, there's a good chance they're going to stay a lot longer.
