She founded the Executive Insight Development Group, Inc. in 1994 and the Boss Whispering Institute (dedicated to research and training in the specialty practice of coaching abrasive leaders) in 2009. She is also on the faculty of the University of Colorado, Boulder.   Dr. Crawshaw’s first book, Taming the Abrasive Manager: How to End Unnecessary Roughness in the Workplace was released in 2007. Her new book is Grow Your Spine & Manage Abrasive Leadership Behavior: A Guide for Those Who Manage Bosses Who Bully (Executive Insight Press).
