I am really interested in the story but the constant trailing off at the end of every sentence, followed by a high pitched start of the next sentence is very distracting and some ear piercing if you have the volume high enough to hear the rest of it.

Eh
I like the cases because they are lesser known cases but the narrator is so robotic and the script sounds AI generated.

Edit: Originally listened to Crimeaholics and loved the show. Was disappointed when it ended. Happy to see Kenzie back at it on this new show that dives way deeper into cases as now she is investigating them herself with the families. Muchhh betterrrr can’t wait for more! Found Crimeaholics...Read full review »

Edit: I don’t know what this new podcast is but the old one was lackluster so I was happy to try this except except the host talks way too fast. In my podcast app I had to lower the speed by 25% and restart the episode. Not sure if I’m gonna stick with this. I’ll give it to the end of this...Read full review »

I couldn’t finish my first episode of the podcast because she talks way to fast.

Podcast is great! I love y’all. Can’t wait until Crime with Holly is available, because I can’t find it anywhere.

Ok
Nicely done and not a lot of banter and babble about nothing anyone cares about. But I’ll say it again… do you edit!!??? Your grammar is HORRIBLE. Can’t listen when you are so inept at using proper grammar. Another one bites the dust.

Slamming the child services system when you don’t know the actual facts of any child’s services case is not a great look. Often, the families are “turned away” or “denied” because the child won’t go/won’t talk, the caregiver doesn’t submit proper paperwork or take proper steps to be enrolled and...Read full review »

I’m so glad that I found your podcast again! I really enjoyed it previously but kind of stopped listening to podcasts for a while. I came across your podcast again today and I am so happy! I love listening to you guys! Keep up the good work. I’ve missed you

I never write reviews but seeing all the negative ones made it feel needed. If you do not like any of the hosts voice, that is a personal opinion & shouldn’t affect their podcast review! This podcast is well constructed. They recognized the opportunity to re-record episodes where they felt...Read full review »

Recently came across this podcast and have been binging it. A great listen! Kind of wish they’d give more info about the case or background of the family, place, etc.

I just started listening and was impressed with how well the show is written and produced. Perfect time length for each episode, captivating content, and really interesting. Great job!

Ok I am just going to flat out say this podcast is not as good as others. I personally feel like they could do more research and go deeper than they do. They mainly just cover the basics of the case. I listen to a lot of crime podcasts but this is not as good as others. Holly is very nasal and...Read full review »

Overall good content but I think some sensitivity could be added around diversity. For example in an episode it is stated a person of color who did not speak well was given attention because she was “exotic” was the terminology used. Also maybe doing a bit more digging into pronunciation of places.

I’m so glad someone is finally covering the crimes that happen here. I wish you all the success possible.

Not only does the podcaster Holly have such a great voice but I love that she speaks directly to the victims and/or their families. You can tell she puts so much research into what she shares on the show. Found the show on Tiktok during the lockdown and loved it! Oh if you didn’t know she runs...Read full review »

Yep. Awful breathy voices with loud swallows. Poor grammar. “Supposibly” is not a word. I got second hand embarrassment listening. Not even accurate.

I listen to lots of true crime podcast. This is the only negative review I have left and I have been a listener for over a year. I will still probably listen some but: Pros: smooth story telling and I totally believe they are passionate about the victims and their families. Easy to listen to, no...Read full review »

Love this podcast but I thought you posted two episodes a week? Will there be one posted today at all?

Cannot get over how nasally and congested Holly sounds 100% of the time, on top of her speaking in slow motion and it being heavily scripted is just too much.

Tubal ligation - not tubal litigation. I have a hard time taking this podcast seriously when I hear stuff like this lol.
Buckeyefan74 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/21/23
This podcast seems well researched but is read at a slow pace with little change in tone of voice or emotion. The constant mispronouncing of words and names gets tiresome. “Suposably”
sprouty25 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/18/23
Why are you so much louder than the person being interviewed?? Shouldn’t this be addressed in editing??
MTJess921 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/17/23
Good show as it relates to the storytelling, it when the host gets on her soapbox she gets over dramatic and sappy it ruins the episode.

A little dull in the way it’s delivered PLUS terrible grammar! Had WENT and had CAME?! Seriously? It distracts from the narrative…

With the amount of wrong information given in the Brittany shank episode you should either do an update or completely take the episode down. From beginning to end .. just wrong. I’m an investigator on at least 2 cases this show has covered and the lack of research is negligent and misleading. I’m sure their intentions are good, but their “investigative” process is absolutely terrible, and they are doing more harm then good.

I live in Gatlinburg. Off 321 . Tourist think it’s just a sleepy little mountain town of Saint Dolly . No drugs , No Homeless, No crime. The class of Tourons coming here are proving the town otherwise . I wish all the tourism was leveled and washed away. Good podcast though

I just discovered this show and have done quite a binge! I really like the format, and enjoy Holly’s episodes. My one complaint is Kenzie’s grammar. I cannot get over her using “tooken” on an episode from a couple months ago. That’s not a word. And that’s not the only mistake I’ve heard, but it’s...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this podcast for years and I appreciate how each episodes seems so well researched and full of details & how the hosts are very likable, but I was disappointed in the Dru Sjodin case. The stories are good, there’s a lot I’ve never even heard of which is great because I feel like so many podcasts do the same cases and I already know everything. Your cases and show are great, I love all the details you give! However, a bit of advice slow down in telling the cases. It isn’t a race and it’s hard to keep up when the case is being told as tho you are speed reading.

After finding Hollys videos on the Crimaholics Tiktok I RAN to the pod to binge every episode! I love the stories they share and the way Holly keeps me listening every episode!
