Evidence seems like a good thing, and this professionally- produced podcast obviously supports it. It also makes evidence seem the dullest thing in the world. Guests pepper their comments with terms like “level-setting”, “commoditised”, “sharing back”, “shared vision”, “customer experience”,...Read full review »

Love this way to learn more about UI’s work and the thought leaders who inform and inspire it. I always leave a conversation energized and anxious to share some of the high points - not to mention to get to work putting them into action!

In our politically charged times, it’s so important to base impactful decisions on reality, not on feelings. Are there outcomes we don’t like? If you would forgive a metaphor, many people want to change the destination and seem to think they are powerless to change our direction. I believe...Read full review »

Milner’s podcast finds the intersection between story-telling and data analysis in a way that’s engaging, entertaining, and thought-provoking. This series of talks is amazing, covering wide topics like justice, income support, tax, etc. it would be great if more can be introduced and discussed about different types of welfare programs in a bit detail (history, pros cons, potential reforms) such as food stamp, assisted housing, Medicaid...Read full review »

Urban can get in the weeds of things with their reports, so I’m surprised they don’t go in as much detail in the podcast! Great content, covers most of the questions you’d ask yourself, but hopefully can go the extra mile in the future and try to match a level of detail found in their reports.

Please please please get rid of the air horn. Consider your listeners wearing headphones or even those listening on speakers. No one ever wants to hear that sound ever and especially not when the exciting idea is give poor people more money.

I listened to the podcast about the Green New Deal. It was fluffy. No interviews with critics, and the proponents didn’t provide data for all of their points. Hardly a critical journalistic product. Assumptions are unchallenged, no opposing viewpoints, wholesale adoption of liberal ideas, consequences are brushed over with “maybe we need to change the CBO scoring beyond 10 years.”

An eye opening podcast about public policy in the US and different policies you would have never known about. It is tailored towards policy wonks and a bit left leaning but it is a great podcast about issues of our time.
