I love this kind of thing, and have tried and tried to find a good podcast that doesn’t bore the crap out of me. The way the hosts tell the stories of these cults is so enthralling and gripping that I can listen all day and not be bored. I started at the very beginning of the series and have been...Read full review »

Good info but I wish they would take a few minutes to find out how to pronounce names

... show but stop with advertising the ‘exclusively available on Spotify’ nonsense. Also demonising men, this time fathers. Devious dads! How about Monstrous moms or will that upset the lefties too much. Come on parcast do better.

I enjoy listening occasionally, but their monotone reading isn't my favorite. Each time Greg says, "Vanessa isn't a licensed psychiatrist or psychologist, but she has done a lot of research for the show." It drives me crazy (#1, because Vanessa always murmurs, "Thanks...Read full review »

Just listened to their episodes on the Manson Family, and I am convinced that no research was done on the topic. Many of their claims directly contradict the evidence of the trial and the confessions of the killers themselves. They portray Manson’s followers as innocent victims of brainwashing...Read full review »

This is a great show and I love listening to it, however it’s becoming more and more obvious that the podcasts on Apple podcasts for this show and other parcast shows like serial killers skips backwards / duplicates sections constantly. It’s not my devices or headphones, as I can literally rewind...Read full review »

Love the podcast, but the Evereve ad makes me NUTS! The voice actor is the worst. I am going to stop listening to this show until this ad cycle is finished.

Another time filler from underwhelming Spotify productions, the Netflix of pods. Not worth the time unless you enjoy interesting stories butchered by bad research and even poorer home spun “psychology”.

I listen to many Crime podcasts and have listened to this one for a while but I’m stopping now. I feel like they’ve jumped on the band wagon of making all law Enforcement either seem racist or totally incompetent. I’m over it. They’ve become too Woke for me and I also get annoyed Greg telling us...Read full review »

Vanessa’s “research” into psychology ruins another great idea for a podcast. Disappointed

I like the podcast and the hosts, but I cannot listen anymore. There is a commercial every 5-10 minutes it seems. It is beyond BEYOND annoying. I can no longer listen to this.
JRose397 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/11/21
Please stop Greg from saying, and I’m paraphrasing here, “Vanessa isn’t a trained psychologist or psychiatrist but she HAS done a lot of research on this subject.” Then Vanessa demurs, “thanks, Greg.” It would be much more empowering for Vanessa to make this statement for herself. Better yet, it...Read full review »

Sounds like reading a textbook. The voices sound robotic not really what I expect of a podcast. Too bad. Banter and interviews would make it better. Will look for another cult podcast

Seriously, keep the adverts for the end, people. Otherwise the narrative is disrupted, lacks cogency and if we wanted all these other Spotify podcasts, we’d search for them.

My favorite production company for podcasts. Love the hosts...and listen to just about all of them! Can you do a cults Podcast on the “Love has won” cult? They just found the leader of the cult, mummified, in a bed in the members house?

Really enjoy these podcasts. Above all I've learned about John Clark, one of the most popular characters in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan universe. When his wife is murdered, he initiates a no-rules mission for answers and revenge, only to find himself in a larger conspiracy. This action packed...Read full review »

Simply put, this show is a brilliant insight into how cults, racial supremacism, and brainwashing impacts America to this day. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the topics covered. Each episode is better than the last - especially the multipart series episodes!

I love the audiobook-esque feel to this podcast, as well as the others by Greg and Vanessa I’ve listened to. There’s not really a conversation going on, rather they’re narrating the story, which I think is less distracting. Their voices are pretty well suited to the material in my opinion and...Read full review »

Super interesting, well-researched, and well-presented. Sometimes the dialogue is a bit stilted, but I think that just shows the attempt at professionalism in the presentation of such sensitive material. I’m still working through the first episodes posted in 2017 and I’m completely hooked. I’m...Read full review »

...and there is years of backlog to listen through?! I am delighted. Every episode of this show is informative and thoughtful. Even though the material is often dark, the hosts are very soft spoken and soothing to listen to. Great as background while driving or working out.

Voices are so robotic. I’ve heard what seem to be errors since I’ve heard the same stories told in different podcasts. The story always differs here. It seems very voyeuristic. They seem to be reading from a script that is written to be salacious. I liked listening to a different point of view of...Read full review »

I did a review before but not sure why it didn’t show up. The topics of the podcast are interesting which is why I give it two stars. However, I feel that their naive experience misleads viewers to discredit things that they actually should consider in life. They don’t just report the facts of...Read full review »

This podcast has very good information, but the lack of humanness in the voices is off putting. It’s as if they’re reading a script instead of having a real conversation

I will continue to listen to this podcast because the content is interesting, but they need to quit it with the ‘Vanessa is not a ... but does a lot of research for this show’. I’m a parcast fan. I’ve listened to 4 of these episodes. I find it all moves a little too slow. Quite repetitive. I think it could all be told in 1 episode. Back to female criminals for me.
Bexstasy via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 04/01/21
It’s hard to listen to the overly filtered (what sounds like a computer speaking) when the males voice is on. I hardly made it into it.

This is such an interesting subject, but the presentation is horrible. Both narrators are boring and dry. I wish they would just speak like normal humans instead of reading the way they do. I hope everyone associated with this pod cast is embarrassed of their involvement. You are the Geraldo Riveras of podcasting. As manipulative as the cults you exploit to titillate listeners. If you’re into anti-American, Trump bashing, anti- Christian ultra left wing communist propaganda then this is the podcast for you!
