“The Culture Gabfest comes in an incredibly close second to my beloved Political Gabfest--though they should not feel any sting as they don't follow the 50% +1 rules of the political realm, and prefer the nuances of taste to a distinct win/lose binary. I have been enjoying this show for about three years now, and I can safely say that every single episode I enjoy the following: a strong, physical scoff at Metcalf's snobbery (and later nod emphatically with nearly all of his wholly accurate, exquisitely worded opinions); shake of head, violent rolling of eyes when Dana fails to express any opinion whatsoever (_again!_) (though I do enjoy her musings @thehighsign), and pay homage to Julia Turner--my wife's and my goddess of culture. Also, June Thomas, Swansburg, Jody Rosen (every night I dream a Rosen v. Metcalf battle royale).
Great show; keep it up!”Read full review »

THis is a podcast that is 100% unsnobbish in the sense of the actual word, though if you mean snobbish in the way that...”Read full review »
