I was having a real melancholy morning until I saw that quite a few people agree with my impression of this podcast. I've been very frustrated because I love hearing about many of the topics addressed in the podcast, but can't stand the panelists. Hope springs eternal so I listen on a regular basis only to tune out when I can't take anymore. My problem is that the opinions seem to come straight out of some liberal arts classroom where each student is trying to out-intellectualize or out-culture the other. Mr. Metcalf is the worst, but his partners are all too willing to dive into the abnoxious quicksand with him. Too bad. Slate's political and sports podcasts are much better.Read full review »
