Am I... a Puta?

Description
A woman's sexuality is something that is consistently being analyzed and policed. Sexual liberation for women has often been misinterpreted as chaotic promiscuity, which has put women in inopportune and dangerous situations. In contrast, purity culture has also robbed women of making choices over their own bodies. How can a woman truly own and feel empowered in her unique form of sexuality when the world preaches messages that lack empathy, equality, and nuance? In this episode, I talk about my different "hoe phases" and how some of my actions stemmed from trauma and self-esteem issues. I also talk about how being a "hoe" is different societally for men. I conclude by discussing the relationship between self-worth and sexuality and how authenticity is the key to having an emotionally healthy sex life.
