I love the content of this podcast for the most part. But the editing is pretty bad. Last night I listened to an episode that had a full 10 seconds of each host’s dialogue laid on top of one another. I couldn’t hear a thing from either.

Tried to listen to several episodes and it’s hard to following along as there are rambles with no context. Get to the point!!

Bravo! This retelling of a classic Christmastime true crime caper was beautifully done, all, while being sensitive and empathetic to the victims and perpetrators alike.

I have listened since the beginning. But over the last few years my interest has dwindled. Renaming “away game” to pander to the extra sensitive was the straw. I won’t be listening or recommending anymore.

The show has been consistently excellent throughout all its phases. It took me a while to get used to Mathew’s voice, but you can really tell that he’s getting more comfortable as time goes by and his and Mike’s dynamic settles into a groove. Thank you guys for all you do.

I loved this episode. It’s a crazy story as it is, but your deadpan delivery and comments made it hilarious. I laughed out loud in surprise early on in the podcast and had a smile on my face for most of it thereafter. Thanks for a great podcast!

I have listened to the first 60 ish episodes. I like it, but I feel like mike is too monotone. Sometimes he reads and it just goes on and on. Need to change tones of voice. Sometimes the topic goes off too long when they “discuss” Also feel like it would be really nice if they covered more...Read full review »

I really do like this show. It’s well researched and the hosts are both sensitive to the subject matter and funny when they need to be. So I ignored the mounting problems for as long as I could, but it’s starting to annoy me too much. The technical aspect of this show is pretty bad. You hear...Read full review »

Did I hear that Matt guy from Montreal say he was wondering if he could get together with “Justin” and go see the queen lying in state???? What grossly pretentious thing to say! I couldn’t listen to the rest of the podcast because I was puking.

We actually saw Chris a month before he did this horrible thing, I remember security having to remove him from the arena during the RAW match because he “crashed it”. Little did we know he actually DID crash.

I like to listen to 2 or 3 part episodes together so I don’t miss anything, hard to know when to start listening when it just says part 2. Would love it if you could include part 2 of 2 or 2 of 3 ect.

As a lover of dark history, I love this pod cast. I know there is evil lurking in the dark corners of the world, and I know Canada is no exception. You don’t often think about what’s happening next door when the news is often flooded with the rest of the world. So thank you Mike for coming...Read full review »

They take care to honor the victims, avoid victim shaming, respect the seriousness of the crime. They are humorous without without disrespect. They encourage listeners to seek help if needed and are honest with their life struggles. You won’t be disappointed.

Was scrolling through to find a Manitoba episode, I was really disappointed to see that there haven’t been any Manitoba-based episodes in 2022, and over a year since anything Manitoba-related has been uploaded. There are plenty of stories to be covered.

Branching out far beyond the well-known Canadian criminals into the just-as-terrible terrors that are remembered locally, this podcast handles the material thoughtfully and responsibly. Never shying away from darkness, all the hosts (past and present) shed light on Canada's dark history that...Read full review »

Thanks for all you do, I can only imagine how long it takes you to research everything but jeepers you do it sooooo well. It was also rage inducing to hear what his family had to deal with regarding the prison and parole system. Wonderful...Read full review »

I’ve always enjoyed this podcast… but the new guy sounds like he’s doing a bit on the SNL skit with the NPR ladies… weirdly non-emotive-whisper-voice.

I have binged the podcast over my summer holidays. Thank you for bringing voices to the victims. I have even bought mikes book. Only complaint - could you do more episodes about crime in Manitoba.

This was a great show. I can’t say it is now due to the fact I can’t listen to it without Scott as a cohost. Sorry guys, I really wanted to like this show, but I find myself distracted by the lisp. I’m sure it makes me sound like an a hole, but I listen to a ton of podcasts and audio books and a lisp or presence of the sibilant “S” is the second most distracting and annoying thing after vocal fry.

I first heard about this podcast by reading Mike Browne’s book. I’m a lover of everything true crime so I checked it out. I’m only on my first episode but I love it! The episode is intriguing and voices soothing and easy to listen to.
