Literally can’t listen to any episodes with the lady co-host her commentary is not genuine and actually insensitive. The content is generally okay but the co-hosts including Scott need a lesson in co-hosting - Scott is annoying he is over the top in trying to genuinely care about the cases so...Read full review »

As a Canuck, I’ve learned a fair bit about some of the darker moments in my country’s history from this podcast. And I appreciate the attention given to who the victims were and the respect (usually) shown. BUT... The constant stream of Canadian tropes is annoying and does little more than...Read full review »

I love Mike and Scott’s relationship, the way they tell the stories. How vulnerable they are, I feel they are very honest with themselves and others on their past. I look forward to every Monday’s 🤩

You guys are so relatable. Your storytelling is great, and I'm constantly cracking up. You play off one another so well because you're old friends. Love that. Your home grown vocabulary is priceless. So glad someone recommended you! Keep up the great work & thanks for all you do.Read full review »

I listen from Nevada (southwest) America. I am so happy my Trinidadian friend, Anne, recommended Dark Poutine to me. I am disabled & truly sick of politics, so podcasts are a lifesaver for me. I happen to enjoy true crime & listen to several, but Dark Poutine is by far my favorite. I...Read full review »

I really like your show and I can imagine the hard work you put it to make it. However Scott’s constant bland interruptions are infuriating. Scott you sound like a great guy and you do add something to the show, you’re clearly great friends and the chemistry between you is obvious. However please...Read full review »

Hai there from Ontario!! Stumbled onto this gem & I’m smitten🖤 Nothing better than brewing a coffee and listening to you guys as I’m getting ready for the day.

Covers cases you have probably not heard of with Canadian charm and has a respectful approach. Host does a good job. The co-host is fond of interjecting horrified commentary at the crimes against humanity being described to the point I wonder if he knows what the podcast is about.

Two friends, one a great researcher, both with compassion, empathy, and charisma; recount some truly awful human behaviour. The guys treat the victims of crimes with dignity & respect: and they treat the scum that commit the crimes with the contempt they deserve. If you love true crime that’s...Read full review »

This was the newest case you released about Sharron Pryor. The story would have been told much more smoothly if the cohost would not have kept interrupting. I don’t know the names of you guys, but whoever is telling the story should get to tell it without interruptions. If the other dude wants to...Read full review »

Mike and Scott are great! I’m a new listener (MFM recommenced) and am catching up on the back catalog. As a fellow Canadian (from NL living in NS) I just love (hate?) hearing about Canadian true crime. Some I remember from when they happened too. So respectful of the stories and end is just...Read full review »

Fellow Canadian here! I haven’t listened to this one until just recently, and I’m really enjoying your show. Just listened to the episode of Mike’s story. Thank you so much for sharing. That one got me right in the feels. Can’t wait to see what else is in store on this podcast!

Best podcast from the goodest of eggs! These gentlemen tell stories that demonstrate empathy for the victims and their families while providing detailed accounts and a few chuckles. Scott and Mike banter in a way that makes you feel like all of you are hanging out in your living room.

Love it! True crime and creepy stuff, retold by two witty, sensitive blokes. Engaging tales, well researched. Two thumbs up from down under

I love these two! They are so funny, so compassionate to the victims, and bring the best venom to the bad guys. Most of the podcast is focused on the story with just a little banter. I also appreciate how candid they are about their own childhood traumas. If they’ve inspired even one other man to...Read full review »

Characteristically Canadian, quirky and with charm. A slight lack or professionalism, slickness and tendencey, sometimes , to ramble are all minor quibbles. Personality trumps professionalism. Keep it up, eh!

I loved your podcast when I first started listening, but I can’t continue to listen to your personal views and your political views. I want to listen to crime and mystery which you were very good at in the beginning. I am unsubscribing. Thanks

Hi I love these crime stories. I think two people do not work.all the dialogue sounds contrived and or silly, which does not belong in true crime. If you go back and listen I think you might agree.

Canadaland recommended this for some reason. I gave up after less than one episode (Sharon Prior). It’s like overhearing two boring guys discuss a crime story in the newspaper at a Canadian bar.
