“This is absolutely wonderful. Listened on Halloween per NoSleep Podcast's recommendation, and I'm so glad I listened. On the border of soap-opera, but nonetheless enjoyable to the end.
First episode was wild from start to finish and I loved it, although I had that slight "aw come on!" when I realized the second story would be slightly unrelated. I loved the narrative. Lee Pace is perfection, as always.
Second episode really freaked me out, and I'm sure other listeners can agree that babies hit us in a dark place, fundamentally, as humans, and deeply disturbs the heart. I really cannot understand the point of the song Caleb's Alive, as it was unrelated to the ending and potentially misleading. I'm sorry, but I just thought it was in poor taste. That being said, it is a fictional piece, and though we try to take these things with a grain of salt, it's hard to understand why that song was placed in the episode when it seemed almost to mock the baby.
As for the chit-chat at the beginning and end of the episodes, I must agree with some of the reviews here, it was a bit grating on the nerves and the gentlemen tend to sound a bit frat-boyish. Yes, we get it, you're sponsored by Shudder. If you could find a way to keep it a bit to the point, we would all very much appreciate that.
With all of this being said, this was a great production, you were all so wonderful to put yourselves out there and start such an enveloping and captivating project. Kudos to the team. I can't wait for the drama to unfold!
Tell Mr. Pace to keep bringing that beautiful golden voice. He's a downright angel.
Edit:
Episode three was pure magic! Thank you so much for taking your listeners into consideration! The shudder promotion was much better when in the same tone as the rest of the episode. I LOVED this episode!!!!”Read full review »
