“These are some really great stories! And on top of that, the context in which they are told is really creative and more importantly really original. And some of the vocal guests they have are super fun! RuPaul was particularly a really fun surprise.
If I had to give any critiques to this show, though, it would have to be to the actual creators. I guess I'm OK with hearing them introducing the show in the beginning. But after hearing some really fun scary stories, hearing them laugh and joke and talk about shudder over and over again, it really pulls me out of the the moment in which they had just previously built up. I mean, I just listened to a horrifying dead baby story, and a great twist ending to their story, but then the icing on the cake ends up being the creators laughing and joking and goofing around. Also, I understand that shudder is a huge sponsor of this podcast, but they talk about it non-stop. Hearing them discuss shudder so much makes me want to not download the app or become a member less and less every time I hear the word "shudder".
